2020 was a year that brought significant challenges for all of us, but through it all we managed to achieve something incredible with our friends at Tommys the Baby Charity.
During the first lockdown, we came up with an idea - to create something that we could sell for Tommy's in the lead up to Baby Loss Awareness Week and raise money for a charity that is very personal to us.
We created a bespoke new scented candle, in collaboration with best-selling Author Elle Wright, with the idea that the candle could be lit for the 'Wave of Light', remembering little lives that left us too soon.
We launched the candle in early October and it totally sold out within 4 days! We scrambled with our factory to get a restock as quickly as we could, to carry on raising as much as possible for this cause which means so much to so many of us.
Using our platform, and with support of press and influencers from all over the UK, we raised awareness of the prevalence and importance of baby loss.
HRH Duchess of Cambridge even took a candle home to light following her visit to Tommy's London clinic.
We managed to raise over £34,000 which is enough to fund a full-time Tommy's rainbow midwife for a whole year, caring for women who are pregnant following a loss.
