Wave of Light Candle

To mark Baby Loss Awareness Week we have partnered with the charity Tommy's and best-selling author & creator of Feathering the Empty Nest Elle Wright to create the limited edition Wave of Light candle. We hope to help the charity raise valuable funds, with 100% of profits from every single candle going straight towards their lifesaving research and support services.

The Wave of Light candle features the scent of Fresh Fig & Jasmine, which has been carefully chosen to create the feeling of a fresh breeze on a countryside walk – an activity linked to mental wellbeing. A soothing, airy and clean scent filled with lush green fig blends, jasmine and lily of the valley provide balance and peace. In the heart of the fragrance ozonic notes found naturally in orange blossom offer calming, soothing and stress-relieving elements.

Each candle is packaged in a special edition bespoke white box, with gold foil stars symbolising the wave of light and all the babies that have left us too early.

In the UK, 1 in 4 pregnancies end in baby loss. That’s why Tommy’s funds pioneering medical research to discover the causes of pregnancy complications and baby loss, to help stop miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. The national charity helps women at every stage of their pregnancy journey, supporting them and their partners with expert information and care. Tommy’s goal is to halve the number of babies who die during pregnancy or birth by 2030 and make the UK the safest place in the world to give birth.

Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th-15th of October) is an opportunity to break the taboo surrounding baby loss. The week is a safe space for families to speak openly about loss they have experienced and remember those babies who died too soon. This year the focus is on reducing isolation, culminating with the global “Wave of Light”, an opportunity for bereaved parents, families and friends around the globe to commemorate all babies who sadly died too soon, by lighting a candle.
